A WEDDING I’LL NEVER FORGET


Taylor & Khalen’s wedding is one I’ll never forget. We were there to capture it all on photo and film, but the story actually began a little earlier with their pre-wedding session in Edinburgh — which was absolutely iconic.


Their wedding took place at Monkton House, just outside Edinburgh, and the whole day felt completely them. They had such a carefree attitude and, more than anything, just wanted to have fun.


They brought together all the elements of the day exactly the way they wanted. Guests helped set up the ceremony outdoors, speeches happened impromptu around the dining table, and a pizza truck rolled in to serve dinner later that evening. Nothing felt overly formal or forced — just a brilliant celebration with the people they love.


I’ve photographed quite a few couples travelling over from the USA to get married in Scotland, and we always seem to have such a great time. I’m also starting to notice just how many come specifically from Tennessee in search of their own fairytale Scottish wedding!


I truly had the best time getting to know these two and documenting it all. One of those weddings that reminds me exactly why I love doing this.

The Pre-wedding Session

For Taylor & Khalen's pre-wedding session, we met in Scotland for a 2 hour shoot around the city. We stopped in various locations including Calton Hill.
