BRYCE & SCOTT
BEFORE THE CEREMONY
I think this must of been one of the most touching wedding ceremonies that I got to witnessed in the summer of 2024. There is something so special about seeing these two lads, so clearly in love, finally realising their dream and tying the knot.
Their day started out with getting ready photos, and being completely honest, when it's two lads, this is generally much quicker than when a lady is involved. A few snaps in the bedroom and then it was down to greeting guests.
During our planning beforehand, Bryce and Scott had come up with a clear schedule that would mean both grooms could welcome guests before the ceremony without bumping into each other. Everything went perfectly to plan - and I love this setup. I will recommend this to two groom weddings in the future.
THE CEREMONY
Nothing quite prepared me for the emotional ceremony. This was my second wedding at Lochgreen and both times, there have been a lot of emotions on display. Great, us wedding photographers love those raw emotions. The ceremony was excellently held by the celebrant Paul Browett, who provided an entertaining and confident delivery.
POST CEREMONY
After the ceremony, we went straight outside for confetti and a group photo. The sun was shining and everyone was buzzing with enthusiasm for the day. I had such a lovely time capturing fun informal group photos and portraits before we headed in for speeches.
THE SPEECHES
For Bryce & Scott, we had agreed beforehand that I would capture their ceremony and speeches also on video. This is one of things we can offer certain couples who don't want a full wedding videography service, I can personally put up a couple of video cameras and capture the ceremony or speeches as long as time permits. Their speeches were particularly important to them - so this was a big plus for them.
PARTY TIME
We then headed out for sunset portraits. With Scott being a pilot, it seemed perfectly fitting that a plane flew over just as we were outside. By this time everyone was very jolly and the photos definitely reflect this.
Before long it was time for the first dance, a ceilidh and an evening of partying ahead.
